Hemin solution (see below) 10.0 ml

Glucose 5.0 g

K2HPO4 2.0 g

Vitamin K1 solution (see below) 0.2 ml

Cysteine·HCl 0.5 g

The vitamin K1, hemin solution, and cysteine are added after the medium has been boiled and cooled under CO2. Adjust pH to 7.2 with 8N NaOH. Distribute under N2 and autoclave.

CaCl2·2H2O 0.25 g

MgSO4·7H2O 0.5 g

K2HPO4 1.0 g

KH2PO4 1.0 g
